I am a foreign student having a degree out side USA.
What should I do to get license in USA ?
If
you are foreign student, follow below steps.
I
Visit the web site www.NABP.org.
and get an application form for FPGEE®.
II
Visit web site www.toefl.org
and get an application form for TOEFL & TSE. It
is prefer able that you at least start to take these
exams eventhough you do not have an approval from
FPGEE®. These exams are valid for 2 years.

You need at least 550 in TOEFL
& 45 to 50 in TSE (depend on states) to pass success
fully.

It is advisable that you apply
for FPGEE® now even though you are planning to
take exam later on since it may take 6 to 9 months
to get an approval from FPGEE®.

When you fill out an application
form for FPGEE®, please make sure that you fulfill
all their requirements (i.e. size & specification
of photographs, color of ink pan to fill the form,
requirement of the official documents etc.). Please
follow strictly the information booklet (from FPGEE®)
to fill the application form. Any error in application
form may delay your approval for 3 to 4 months.

After passing all these exams,
you will receive FPGEE® certificate that you can
use for sitting in state board exam (NAPLEX®).

Once I get FPGEE® certificate, what should I do
?

Once you get FPGEE® certificate,
we will recommend you to call your state board of
pharmacy and asks following questions. (You can do
this eventhough you do not have FPGEE® certificate).

NAPLEX®? (You can get telephone no# by dialing
411 or visit the web site www.NABP.org.)
II
How many hours of internship do
I require before sitting in NAPLEX®?
III Is
state board counting any internship hours before obtaining
FPGEE® certification and / or before sitting in
NAPLEX®? If yes, how many hours ?
Q.3.
If I am resident of NewYork, can I sit for exam from
other states ?
Yes,
FPGEE® & NAPLEX® are computerized exams
and you can sit for these exams from any state. (Except
California).
